What to Take to Summer Camp

HEALTH FORM
Medical forms should be properly completed, then signed by a physician, and photocopied.  Parents keep the original form for your records.  Give the photocopy to your Scoutmaster.  Scouts and adults under 40 are required to have class 1 and 2 forms.  Adults over 40 are required to have a class 3 form.

  CAMP UNIFORM (daily wear, 9 days)

  Camp T-shirts (available at camp trading post)      
  Handkerchiefs      
  9 – 10  pair of socks      
  Sweater or jacket

o  Long sleeve shirt for Swimming Merit Badge

o  Official Scout shorts

EQUIPMENT
o  Flashlight (extra batteries)
o  Sleeping bag or blankets, pillow
o  Backpack)
o  Camp box with a lock (give extra key or combination to SM)
o  Pocket knife
o  Nylon line, clothes pins, coat hangers
o  Water bottle
o  Work gloves
Bible or prayer book
o  Boy Scout Handbook
o  Notebook paper & pencil & pen
o  Drinking cup
o  Suntan lotion (non-aerosol)
o  Mosquito repellent (non-aerosol)
OPTIONAL EQUIPMENT
o  Sewing kit
o  Camera & film
o  Clothes washing soap (small plastic bottle or powdered biodegradable)
o  Sunglasses
o  Small rug or mat
o  Stationery (stamp & address envelopes at home)


We wear the class A uniform to dinner most days.  We will wear the class A formal uniform to some events. 
All clothing and equipment should be clearly marked with your name and troop number. 
Do not bring valuables!!!!
VISITORS
Third Session Visitors Day is July 2.  Visitor's day is an ideal time to see your son, his unit and campsite, and the program facilities at the H. Roe Bartle Scout Reservation Visiting hours are 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
